Abstract

Varias modalidades de la invención se relacionan con un sistema y un método para la administración combinada con preferencias del usuario de datos de Wi-Fi y celulares. El sistema presenta datos de diagnóstico a los usuarios en una o más formas que muestran el impacto sobre sus aplicaciones y permite al usuario proporcionar control de alto nivel del uso de las dos o más conexiones. Las modalidades del sistema diagnostican datos de Wi-Fi/banda ancha y celulares; en ambas capas inferiores, como capas físicas, de enlace o de red; y capas superiores, como capas de sesión, presentación o aplicación. Se determinan los diagnósticos conjuntos de datos celulares y Wi-Fi y también puede mostrarse el impacto de los diagnósticos al rendimiento de las aplicaciones. Además pueden proporcionarse recomendaciones para políticas de red y configuraciones dirigidas preferencias y aplicaciones del usuario.
