Abstract

En la presente descripción se describen sistemas, dispositivos y métodos para la codificación de vectores de movimiento en el modo de fusión simétrica. Los vectores de movimiento (MV) de bipredicción (bipred) simétrica pueden construirse a partir de candidatos disponibles en una lista de candidatos para fusión para el modo de fusión de interpredicción regular y/o modo de fusión de predicción afín. Los MV candidatos para fusión disponibles pueden extenderse o mapearse simétricamente en cualquier dirección (p. ej., entre imágenes de referencia antes y después de una imagen actual), por ejemplo, cuando se codifica una imagen que permite la predicción de compensación de movimiento (MCP, por sus siglas en inglés) bidireccional.
