Abstract

Un sistema y método de manejo de un reactor electrolítico sobre demanda que suministra gas hidrógeno y oxígeno a un motor de combustión interna. El sistema minimiza el consumo de energía del reactor y la pérdida de energía parasitaria asociada, con reactores perpetuos. El sistema comprende una pluralidad de sensores acoplada con el reactor que mide una pluralidad de parámetros de reactor, una unidad de control electrónico acoplada con la pluralidad de sensores y el motor y una tarjeta de control de reactor acoplada con el reactor y la unidad de control electrónico. La unidad de control electrónico: monitorea la pluralidad de parámetros de reactor y la pluralidad de parámetros de motor; determina un nivel de rendimiento de reactor; determina un nivel de rendimiento de motor; determina un cambio en el nivel de rendimiento de motor para pronosticar un nivel de demanda futura de motor; y determina un nivel ideal de rendimiento de reactor que corresponde con el nivel de rendimiento de motor o el nivel de demanda futura del motor. La tarjeta de control de reactor regula el reactor al modificar al menos uno de la corriente eléctrica suministrada al reactor, la tensión eléctrica suministrada al reactor y la temperatura del reactor.
