Abstract

De acuerdo con una o más modalidades descritas en la presente, se describen métodos para operar procesos de deshidrogenación en condiciones anormales de funcionamiento, como en el arranque, apagado, reciclaje del sistema o desconexión de la unidad. Los métodos pueden incluir poner una corriente de alimentación en contacto con un catalizador en una porción de reactor de un sistema de reactor para formar una corriente de efluente del reactor, separar del catalizador al menos una porción de la corriente de efluente del reactor, pasar el catalizador a una porción de procesamiento de catalizador y procesar el catalizador, en donde procesar el catalizador comprende poner el catalizador en contacto con oxígeno, pasar el catalizador de la porción de procesamiento a la porción de reactor, en donde el catalizador que sale de la porción de procesamiento comprende al menos 0.001 % en peso de oxígeno, y poner el catalizador en contacto con hidrógeno complementario, en donde el contacto elimina del catalizador al menos una porción del oxígeno mediante una reacción de combustión.
