Abstract

Se describen los sistemas y métodos para reducir el volumen de residuos de escombros de construcción y demolición (C&D). Los sistemas incluyen una unidad de torrefacción que reduce la dureza de los residuos mientras los degrada en volátiles y en partículas que tienen una variedad de tamaños. La variación en el tamaño de las partículas permite una compactación más eficiente debido al espacio vacío mínimo y la suavidad impartida permite una mayor compresibilidad.
