Abstract

La composición de vidrio puede incluir SiO2 de aproximadamente un 59 a aproximadamente un 63 por ciento en peso, Al2O3 de aproximadamente un 13,7 a aproximadamente un 16 por ciento en peso, CaO de aproximadamente un 14 a aproximadamente un 16,5 por ciento en peso, MgO de aproximadamente un 6 a aproximadamente un 8,5 por ciento en peso, Fe2O3 menos de 1 por ciento en peso y TiO2 menos de 1 por ciento en peso. En algunos casos, la composición puede estar sustancialmente exenta de Li2O. En algunos casos, la composición puede incluir Li2O hasta un 0,5 por ciento en peso. En algunos casos, RE2O3 puede estar presente en la composición en una cantidad hasta un 1,5 por ciento en peso.
