Abstract
Las emulsiones de látex y un procedimiento de elaboración de las mismas que incorpora partículas de látex vacías que tienen un núcleo con un componente hidrófilo; al menos una cubierta intermedia con, como unidades polimerizadas, uno o más monómeros monoetilénicamente insaturados hidrófilos, uno o más monómero monoetilénicamente insaturados no iónicos, o mezclas de los mismos; una cubierta exterior formada de un polímero que tiene una Tg de al menos 60°C; y un tratamiento de superficie aplicado a la cubierta exterior en la que una pluralidad de oligómeros de silicona con grupos funcionales reactivos se reticulan entre si con el fin de proporcionar una superficie exterior reticulada. El núcleo y la al menos una cubierta intermedia entran en contacto con un agente de hinchamiento en presencia de menos del 0.5% de monómero basándose en el peso global de las partículas de látex vacías. Además, uno o más del núcleo, la cubierta intermedia, o la cubierta exterior incluye dodecilbencenosulfonato de sodio, y opcionalmente otros tensioactivos.
