Abstract

Se proporciona un dispositivo de presentación visual montado en la cabeza (HMD) (100) configurado para ser usado por un usuario (121). El HMD comprende un presentador visual al menos parcialmente transparente (101), una cámara que mira hacia el frente (102) operativa para capturar una primera imagen de una escena del mundo real y medios de procesamiento (104) que son operativos para seleccionar un objeto de calibración de uno o más objetos del mundo real, o partes de los mismos (130-135) que sean visibles en la primera imagen, y derivar una transformación de calibración para calcular una posición de presentación visual con base en una posición del mundo real, de tal manera que un objeto virtual que se presente visualmente en el presentador visual en la posición del presentador visual sea alineado con un objeto del mundo real correspondiente ubicado en la posición del mundo real, como lo ve el usuario.
