Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para elaborar un agente formador de complejos, en donde dicho proceso comprende las siguientes etapas: (a) proporcionar un nitrilo de acuerdo con la Fórmula general (| a) o (I b) (FORMULA) en donde M se selecciona de metal alcalino e hidrógeno y combinaciones de estos, (b) saponificar con una cantidad de álcali total de 2.5 a 2.9 mol de hidróxido de metal alcalino por mol de nitrilo de acuerdo con la Fórmula general (| a) o (I b), respectivamente, y un valor de pH en el rango de 9.5 a 11.5 al final de la etapa (b), (c) Se agrega una cantidad de hidróxido de metal alcalino de modo que el contenido de á|cali total sea de 2.9 a 3.1 moles por mol de nitrilo de acuerdo con la Fórmula general (| a) o (I b), respectivamente, y (d) permitir conversión adicional.
