Abstract
The present invention relates to a composite material of a sterile urban solid waste (MX2015002223A) and recycled high-density polyethylene. The process consists of validating the urban solid waste weighing the polymer and additives of suitable quantities according to the characteristics of the desired final product. The thermoplastic components are cold and homogeneously mixed at high temperatures in a counter-rotating twin-screw extrusion chamber, laterally feeding the solid techno-solid residue at the third temperature zone thereof. Herein, it hot mixes the extruded product collected, cooling it, grounding, and transferring it to a previously heated mold with the shape of the manufactured article, obtaining the final piece required by compression molding. Said material allows using it as plastic roof tiles, cladding for houses, wood substitute, false wall tile, plastic floors, fence posts, automotive plastic accessories, road ghosts, and synthetic stone, among others.
