Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con una planta de melón cultivada (Cucumis melo spp. melo) resistente al virus del rizado de la hoja de tomate de Nueva Delhi (ToLCNDV), que comprende QTL-1 en su genoma, y que QTL-1 confiere resistencia contra el virus del rizado de la hoja de tomate de Nueva Delhi (ToLCNDV). La invención además proporciona progenie, fruta, semillas, material de propagación y productos alimenticios de la planta. La invención también proporciona marcadores para la identificación de QTL-1, así como un método para analizar una planta de melón (Cucumis melo spp. melo) para detectar la presencia de QTL-1 en su genoma y un método para seleccionar o identificar una planta de melón resistente contra ToLCNDV.
