Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para evaluar el efecto de un producto químico de producción en la estabilidad de una emulsión de agua y aceite, la emulsión comprende el producto químico de producción. El método comprende: aplicar una diferencia de potencial a través de la emulsión en un sitio de detección; medir una corriente que fluye a través de la emulsión debido a la diferencia de potencial aplicada; y usar esta corriente medida para evaluar el efecto del producto químico de producción. La etapa de usar la corriente medida para evaluar el efecto del producto químico de producción puede comprender determinar, con base en la corriente medida, si se ha alcanzado o excedido un potencial crítico de la emulsión. La emulsión puede ser una emulsión de petróleo crudo. Puede ser una emulsión de agua en aceite. El producto químico de producción puede ser un rompedor de emulsión. También se proporciona un aparato para evaluar el efecto un producto químico de producción en una emulsión de agua y aceite.
