Abstract
Un sistema modular de purificación de agua para una central nuclear incluye una pluralidad de módulos que pueden conectarse de forma selectiva entre sí directamente o mediante el uso de adaptadores intermedios en una pluralidad de disposiciones. Los módulos pueden incluir un módulo de bomba, un módulo FOSAR, un módulo de filtración de partículas, un módulo de filtración de flujo cruzado, un módulo de desgasificación y/o un módulo de desmineralización, entre otros módulos posibles. Los módulos pueden tener interfaces comunes para que puedan interconectarse (directamente o a través de adaptadores intermedios) en una variedad de configuraciones para diferentes propósitos dentro del contexto de la central nuclear (por ejemplo, filtrar el agua de la piscina; recolectar objetos grandes mediante aspiración). Varios módulos pueden tener factores de forma y/o estructuras de montaje que sean lo suficientemente similares a los elementos combustibles de la planta como para que (1) el equipo de manejo del elemento combustible de la planta pueda agarrar, mover y reposicionar los módulos, y/o (2) los módulos puedan almacenarse en el bastidor de almacenamiento de la piscina de combustible.
