Abstract

Un motor casi adiabático tiene cuatro etapas en un ciclo: (1) un medio de expansión casi adiabática del fluido de trabajo durante la carrera descendente (carrera de expansión); (2) un medio para enfriar el fluido de trabajo en el punto muerto inferior (BDC); (3) un medio para comprimir casi adiabáticamente ese fluido enfriado desde el nivel más bajo de presión/temperatura en BDC hasta el nivel más alto en el punto muerto superior (TDC); y finalmente, (4) un medio para pasar ese fluido de trabajo de regreso a la fuente de alta presión/temperatura en una condición equilibrada con una resistencia mínima a ese flujo.
