Abstract

Un sistema y método para ubicar un nervio específico asociado con una articulación cigapofisaria a través de la estimulación nerviosa y el monitoreo de la actividad muscular eléctrica en un músculo multífido adyacente al nervio. El sistema incluye una sonda alojada dentro de una cánula y que comprende un electrodo de sonda; un electrodo de grabación para el monitoreo de la actividad muscular eléctrica en un fascículo medial del músculo multífido; un generador de señal; y un controlador acoplado al electrodo de sonda y el electrodo de grabación.
