Abstract

Se proporcionan un sistema de generación de hidrógeno mejorado y un método para usarlo. El sistema incluye una unidad de HDS configurada para desulfurizar hidrocarburos un prereformador configurado para convertir hidrocarburos pesados dentro de la corriente de gas de proceso a metano, un reformador configurado para producir una corriente de gas de síntesis y un gas de escape de la combustión, una unidad de PSA configurada para producir una corriente de producto de hidrógeno y una corriente de efluente gaseoso de PSA y medios para enfriar el gas de escape de la combustión con un aire de combustión y la corriente de efluente gaseosa de PSA hasta una temperatura por debajo del punto de rocío del ácido sulfúrico.
