Abstract
Un módulo fotovoltaico incorpora una laminación que incluye una lámina de respaldo, un conjunto de celdas solares soportadas en la lámina de respaldo y una cubierta protectora transparente sobre la serie de celdas solares. Las celdas solares se disponen en patrones desplazados o escalonados en la lámina de respaldo para presentar un aspecto más aleatorio y menos industrial rígido a un observador. En algunos casos, los segmentos de celdas solares segmentadas se disponen en grupos que se escalonan en la lámina de respaldo. Esto permite un control más preciso del voltaje neto producido por un módulo. En otras modalidades, las celdas solares de una sola oblea completa se disponen en grupos más grandes, que a su vez se escalonan en la lámina de respaldo. En cualquier caso, el resultado es un módulo fotovoltaico con una apariencia que es más orgánica y aceptable para los propietarios y arquitectos que los módulos tradicionales que tienen celdas dispuestas en filas y columnas alineadas rígidas.
