Abstract

La presente invención proporciona métodos para la producción de semilla endogámica de plantas, o para la producción de semilla híbrida de plantas, en donde la semilla obtenida exhibe propiedades alteradas y/o mejoradas, en particular propiedades de germinación mejoradas particulares tal como tasa de germinación de semillas potenciada y/o peso en fresco potenciado de plántula. La presente invención también proporciona el uso de plantas quimeras periclinales para mejorar las propiedades de germinación de la semilla.
