Abstract

Una composición moldeable por inyección y dispersable en agua incluye un polímero dispersable en agua, polietilenglicol (PEG), plastificante, y un componente polimérico hidrófobo, en donde la composición tiene un índice de flujo en estado fundido de 5-180. El polímero dispersable en agua puede ser alcohol de polivinilo (PVOH) parcialmente hidrolizado o copolímero de etileno-alcohol de vinilo. El componente polimérico hidrófobo puede ser un colorante dentro de una matriz de etileno, polietileno, un producto de degradación de glicerina/PVOH, erucamida, o poli(dimetil siloxano). El plastificante puede ser glicerina. La composición es desechable por el retrete de acuerdo con el Documento de Orientación para Evaluar la Capacidad de Desecharse por el Retrete de los Productos de Consumo No Tejidos (INDA y EDANA, 2006); Prueba FG 522.2 Nivel 2 - Prueba de Desintegración de Caja Oscilante.
