Abstract
Se describen técnicas relacionadas con la sincronización de tiempo en una red. En algunas modalidades, un aparato incluye un primer circuito que tiene un primer reloj configurado para mantener un valor de tiempo local para un nodo acoplado a una red. El primer circuito está configurado para enviar un primer mensaje a un segundo circuito. El primer mensaje incluye un primer nonce. El segundo circuito tiene un segundo reloj que mantiene un valor de tiempo de referencia para la red. El primer circuito recibe un segundo mensaje del segundo circuito, el segundo mensaje incluye un segundo nonce y se asocia con una marcación de tiempo que identifica el valor de tiempo de referencia. El primer circuito compara el primer nonce con el segundo nonce para determinar si la marcación de tiempo es válida y, en respuesta a la determinación de que la marcación de tiempo es válida, usa la marcación de tiempo para sincronizar el primer reloj con el segundo reloj.
