Abstract
Una composición para tratar un sistema de agua o sistema de fluido de membrana, tal como un sistema de osmosis inversa, para remover la herrumbre, los microorganismos y la biopelícula, y los subproductos de corrosión. La composición comprende agentes quelantes y un surfactante. La composición puede ser un sólido disuelto con agua o un solvente en el sistema que se está tratando o puede ser una espuma o aerosol premezclado. Un método para usar tal composición de tratamiento que comprende poner en contacto la composición de tratamiento consubstancialmente todas las partes del sistema de agua y drenar la composición de tratamiento del sistema antes de reanudar operaciones normales. Para ciertos sistemas, el método también comprende drenar parte del agua existente en el sistema de agua para remover composiciones de tratamiento previas y llenar o enjuagar el sistema con agua fresca antes de añadir la composición de tratamiento.
