Abstract
Un método para formar materiales fúngicos y objetos fúngicos a partir de esos materiales fúngicos, comprendiendo el método las etapas de desarrollar un primer tejido fúngico en contacto con un vehículo nutritivo; suministrar un material poroso en contacto con dicho primer tejido fúngico; dirigir el crecimiento de dicho tejido fúngico a través de dicho material poroso, de tal manera que una porción de dicho tejido fúngico comprenda un primer material fúngico que tiene una primera hifa fúngica; incorporar opcionalmente material compuesto; dirigir un cambio en la composición o patrón de crecimiento de al menos algunas de dichas primeras hifas fúngicas; separar al menos una porción del primer material fúngico de dicho vehículo nutritivo; obtener un segundo material fúngico que tiene una segunda hifa fúngica; y formar un objeto fúngico al fomentar el crecimiento fusionado entre dicho primer material fúngico y dicho segundo material fúngico e incorporar opcionalmente material compuesto.
