Abstract

La invención se refiere a una unidad de ventilación (4) destinada a una torre de refrigeración por aire (1) y que comprende una rueda libre (10) para aspirar aire del exterior y para descargar aire en la porción superior de la unidad de ventilación (4). La rueda libre (10) tiene una denominada cara posterior y una denominada cara frontal, dicha rueda libre (10) aspira el aire del exterior de acuerdo con la dirección del eje de rotación de dicha rueda libre (10) por medio de la cara frontal y descarga el aire radialmente al eje de rotación de dicha rueda libre (10), siendo atravesada la unidad de ventilación (4) por un conducto de aspiración (11) de aire del exterior y por un conducto de descarga (12) de aire, dirigiendo dicho conducto de descarga (12) del aire el flujo de aire hacia la parte frontal del plano formado por la cara frontal. La invención también se refiere a una torre de refrigeración por aire y a un procedimiento para aspirar y descargar aire en tal unidad de ventilación.
