Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un método de eliminación de cationes del agua y una distribución de proceso para efectuar el método. El método comprende la presencia de cationes seleccionados del grupo formado por Se, As, Sb, Cr, Mn, Mo, W, V, Te, P y/o Si, que comprende: a) preparación de un sedimento que contenga precipitado de hierro mediante tratamiento electroquímico de agua, donde el agua pasa por una unidad de tratamiento electroquímico de agua en el cual la electricidad disuelve el hierro del ánodo en el agua con lo que se produce un sedimento que contiene precipitado de hierro en el que se adsorben o co-precipitan los cationes eliminados; c) separación de sólidos del sedimento obtenido, lo que permite producir agua tratada con un contenido menor de cationes y sólidos, que comprende compuestos de precipitado de hierro y compuestos de cationes adsorbidos o co-precipitados.
