Abstract

La invención proporciona un nuevo enfoque convergente para la síntesis de la 2´-fluoro-6´-metilen-adenosina carbocíclica (FMCA) y la 2´-fluoro-6´-metilen-guanosina carbocíclica (FMCG) a partir de un material inicial fácilmente disponible, en ocho pasos. También se proporciona una metodología eficiencia y práctica para la preparación estereoespecífica de un intermediario carbocíclico clave versátil, el (1S,3R,4R)-3-ter-butoxi-4-(ter-butoximetil)-2-f luoro-5-metilenciclopentanol (compuesto 8 del Esquema de Reacción 1A o a), en sólo seis (6) pasos.
