Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una invención implementada por ordenador que comprende un modelo numérico de una región de la Tierra que modeliza el comportamiento acústico de dicha región. La invención se basa en un nuevo propagador de ondas acústicas que permite la simulación de la propagación de ondas P puras en medios isotrópicos transversales. El propagador puede aplicarse a aplicaciones tales como modelización sísmica directa, migración inversa en el tiempo y otras aplicaciones basadas en ecuaciones de ondas bidireccionales.
