Abstract

La invención describe secuencias de ADN recombinante transcripto en constructos de ARN capaces de formar partículas de tipo virus (VLP) apropiadas para aplicaciones de control de insectos. En particular, la divulgación proporciona un método de control de insectos diana que comprende transformar un huésped microbiano con una primera secuencia de ADN que comprende un gen que codifica una proteína de cápside de bacteriófago y una segunda secuencia de ADN que codifica un transcripto de ARN que comprende al menos una secuencia principio activo de bacteriófago acoplada con una secuencia precursora de ARNi; inducir al huésped microbiano a expresar la primera y la segunda secuencias de ADN; aislar partículas de tipo virus (VLP) que comprenden la proteína de cápside y el precursor de ARNi del huésped microbiano; y poner en contacto las VLP aisladas con los insectos diana.
