Abstract

Se proporciona un dispositivo electroquirúrgico. El dispositivo incluye una sonda enfriada, un introductor, y un acceso lateral para la introducción de líquido en una luz definida por un diámetro externo de la sonda y un diámetro interno del introductor cuando la sonda se coloca dentro del introductor, en una manera tal en que un extremo distal de la sonda puede contactar un sitio objetivo (por ejemplo, el sitio cerca/adyacente al tejido a tratarse). El acceso lateral puede conectarse a una jeringa/otro aparato para introducción de líquido mediante la tubería, a fin de que un líquido (por ejemplo, un agente terapéutico, solución salina, etc.) pueda inyectarse en la luz y pueda salir de la región distal del introductor a fin de que se suministre al sitio objetivo. Adicionalmente, la jeringa puede retirarse a fin de que la tubería pueda servir como conducto de escape durante el tratamiento con el dispositivo electroquirúrgico.
