Abstract
Diversas realizaciones de la presente divulgación proporcionan sistemas y métodos para la toma en préstamo de servicio celular entre vehículos. Más especialmente, el sistema usa tecnología de Comunicación dedicada de corto alcance (DSRC) en Telemática. De acuerdo con la presente divulgación, cuando el pasajero de vehículo de un primer vehículo desea utilizar un servicio celular (tal como hacer una llamada telefónica), pero no posee un teléfono o una infraestructura en el primer vehículo para completar el servicio celular, el sistema y método divulgados en la presente permiten al pasajero enviar un mensaje a vehículos circundantes por medio de tecnología de DSRC. Este mensaje solicita una "toma en préstamo" de una llamada celular de otros vehículos. Si uno de los vehículos circundantes acepta la solicitud, el vehículo circundante completa el servicio celular (a saber, hace la llamada telefónica) y transmite audio del servicio celular de regreso al vehículo del primer pasajero por medio de DSRC. La llamada telefónica se puede hacer por medio de un teléfono celular o de una unidad de control telemático presentes en el vehículo circundante.
