Abstract
Se describen microorganismos fotosintéticos con capacidad de absorción de luz ampliada y aumento de la actividad fotosintética. La absorción de luz ampliada se logra modificando el microorganismo para utilizar pigmentos biliares no nativos. El aumento de la actividad fotosintética se debe a la absorción de luz ampliada y también puede ser consecuencia de una disminución del autosombreado. Los microorganismos incluyen cianobacterias, incluidas cianobacterias modificadas.
