Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una planta de pepino que lleva un QTL1 en su genoma que conduce a proporcionar resistencia a Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-cucumerinum. Tal QTL1 está localizado en el cromosoma 3 entre las secuencias marcadoras de la SEC ID No. 1 y la SEC ID No.2 y puede identificarse por cualquiera de los marcadores que tienen la SEC ID No. 3, y/o la SEC ID No. 4. QTL1 está comprendido en el genoma de una semilla de la planta de pepino representativa, del cual se depositó ante el NCIMB bajo los números de depósito NCIMB 42438 y NCIMB 42439. Opcionalmente, además del QTL1, también está presente un QTL2, que se localiza en el cromosoma 5 entre las secuencias marcadoras de la SEC ID No. 5 y la SEC ID No. 6 y que pueden identificarse por cualquiera de los marcadores en el cromosoma 5 que tiene la SEC ID No. 7, la SEC ID No. 8, la SEC ID No. 9; y/o la SEC ID No. 10, o cualquier combinación de estos Nos. de SEC ID. QTL2 está comprendido en el genoma de una semilla representativa de una planta de pepino de la cual se depositó ante el NCIMB con el número de depósito NCIMB 42439. Una planta de pepino de la invención puede comprender ambos QTL, cada uno en forma homocigótica o heterocigótica. La invención se refiere además a la progenie de la planta, al material de propagación para la planta y a los marcadores para identificar los QTL y su uso.
