Abstract

Un freno de disco que tiene una pinza de freno (2) que solapa un disco de freno se sujeta en un soporte de freno estacionario (1) de manera que se puede desplazar axialmente con relación al disco de freno, y en el cual se localizan forros de freno, los cuales durante una operación de frenado pueden ser presionados contra el disco de freno por medio de un dispositivo de aplicación de freno, siendo que se proporciona un dispositivo para la detección visual de desgaste del desgaste del disco de freno y/o forro de freno, y se configura de manera que, para la detección de desgaste, un elemento de comparación (3) que se extiende en la dirección de desplazamiento de la pinza de freno (2) y opuesta con respecto al disco de freno se fija al soporte de freno (1), siendo que este elemento de comparación tiene una configuración en forma de tira con superficies laterales continuamente planas y tiene al menos un escalón (8, 8´) en el borde en la dirección de desplazamiento de la pinza de freno (2).
