Abstract
La presente invención proporciona una inclinación por muelle que es particularmente adecuada para usarse para precargar una férula de bajo perfil de un conector óptico. En una modalidad, la inclinación por muelle se efectúa por un elemento de flexión plano (20) externa del conector. La férula (11) está acoplada al elemento de flexión plano con su eje longitudinal a través del centro del elemento de flexión plano. El elemento de flexión plano (20) está estructurado con los miembros de flexión (26) en un plano que están configurados para no crear ninguna carga de torque sobre la férula, o si la carga de torque está presente, la carga de torque es insignificante para causar la desalineación de la férula, cuando el elemento de flexión flexiona fuera de su plano nominal para crear una precarga axial sobre la férula. En otra modalidad, un yugo común (45) se aplica para inclinar los elementos de flexión planos en contra de una pluralidad de férulas (11), en donde un elemento de flexión plano está acoplado a cada conector de férula. En una modalidad adicional de la presente invención, en lugar de utilizar elementos de flexión planos, se proporciona un yugo para aplicar una precarga axial a todos los conectores de férula acoplados a la horquilla, por medio de un muelle helicoidal aplicado a un centro del yugo, externo de los conectores de férula.
