Abstract
Una o más modalidades de la descripción pertenecen a un sistema de protección y diagnóstico que puede generar una señal de marcha/alarma ejecutando un procedimiento de diagnóstico en una máquina que incluye una parte giratoria; el procedimiento de diagnóstico puede incluir usar sensores para obtener parámetros de rendimiento de varios sub-sistemas etiquetados críticos y/o menos críticos de la máquina cuando la parte giratoria está girando; determinar, en tiempo real, un índice de rendimiento del sistema de la máquina con base en los parámetros de rendimiento; usar un modelo de protección para determinar un índice de rendimiento del sub-sistema asociado con por lo menos un sub-sistema etiquetado de la máquina; determinar un índice de salud de activo con base en combinar el índice de rendimiento del sistema y el índice de rendimiento del sub-sistema; y generar la señal de marcha/alarma cuando el índice de salud de activo excede un valor umbral; el sistema de protección puede incluir un dispositivo de protección configurado para recibir la señal de marcha y ejecutar una acción protectora sobre la máquina.
