Abstract

Se describen sistemas y métodos para disminuir latencia entre una adquisición de datos de tacto y procesamiento de una tarea de reproducción asociada en un dispositivo sensible al tacto que tiene un sistema táctil capaz de producir datos de tacto a una velocidad de muestreo de tacto y que tiene un sistema de visualización que muestra cuadros a una velocidad de actualización. En una modalidad, el sistema estima al menos uno de: (a) un período de tiempo para muestrear datos de tacto del sistema táctil, (b) un período de tiempo para calcular datos de evento de tacto de los datos de tacto muestreados, y (c) un período de tiempo para reproducción de un cuadro a una memoria intermedia de cuadros. El sistema determina un período de tiempo Tc para (a) muestrear datos de tacto del sistema táctil, (b) calcular datos de evento de tacto de datos de tacto muestreados, y (c) reproducción de un cuadro a una memoria intermedia de cuadros, con base al menos en parte en la estimación. El sistema determina un punto en el tiempo Tr en el cual se actualizará el sistema de visualización desde la memoria intermedia de cuadros. Se calcula un tiempo de inicio de muestreo con base al menos en parte en Tr y Tc. Se inicia el muestreo del sistema táctil para obtener datos de tacto muestreados en el tiempo de inicio de muestreo. Se calculan los datos de evento de tacto de los datos de tacto muestreados, y un cuadro que refleja los datos de evento de tacto se reproduce a la memoria intermedia de cuadros antes del tiempo Tr. Entonces se actualiza la pantalla desde la memoria intermedia de cuadros.
