Abstract
Un método para la modernización de una planta de amoníaco que incluye un sistema de vapor de agua, dicho sistema de vapor de agua comprende por lo menos una sección de presión alta que opera a una primera presión y una sección de presión media que opera a una segunda presión menor que dicha primera presión, la modernización incluye: la provisión de por lo menos una recuperación de calor adicional por medio de un flujo de vapor de agua a una tercera presión la cual es intermedia entre dicha primera y segunda presión, y la provisión de una línea de exportación de vapor de agua que está dispuesta para exportar hacia fuera de la planta de amoníaco por lo menos una porción de dicho flujo de vapor de agua a dicha tercera presión.
