Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a pienso para animales o aditivos de pienso para animales que comprenden polipéptidos que tienen actividad proteasa y usos de los mismos. Específicamente, las proteasas son serina S1 proteasas de Janibacter, Terracoccus y Knoellia, perteneciendo todos a la familia Intrasporangiaceae del suborden Micrococcineae. Las proteasas tienen una alta actividad a un amplio intervalo de pH (pH 3-7) y son por tanto altamente activas durante el paso completo a través del tracto digestivo. También se refiere a los métodos para producir las proteasas y para usar las proteasas para mejorar el rendimiento del animal y el valor nutricional del pienso para animales.
