Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al uso de cis- o trans-(2-isobutil-4-metiltetrahidropiran-4-il)acetato isoméricamente puro o altamente enriquecido con isómeros como productos químicos aromáticos. La invención además se refiere a un método para producir cis- o trans-(2- isobutil-4-metiltetrahidr opiran-4-il)acetato isoméricamente puro o altamente enriquecido con isómeros y a los productos que se pueden obtener mediante este proceso. La invención además se refiere a una fragancia o composición de sustancia aromática que comprende cis- o trans-(2-isobutil-4-metiltetrahidropiran-4-il)acetato isoméricamente puro o altamente enriquecido con isómeros, a un método para impartir y/o intensificar un olor o sabor de un producto y también a productos aromatizados o saborizados que contienen cis- o trans-(2-isobutil-4-metiltetrahidropiran-4-il)ace tato isoméricamente puro o altamente enriquecido con isómeros.
