Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un método para recuperar plata de soluciones de haluro que contienen plata, comprendiendo la etapa de: (a) proporcionar una columna de intercambio iónico que comprende una resina de intercambio aniónico débil; (b) introducir la solución de haluro que contiene plata en la columna de intercambio iónico en la resina de intercambio aniónico débil; (c) lavar la resina de intercambio iónico cargada con una primera solución de lavado para enjuagar el zinc absorbido y opcionalmente por lo menos parte del cobre; (d) lavar la resina de intercambio iónico cargada con una segunda solución de lavado para enjuagar el cobre restante; y (f) eluir la resina de intercambio iónico cargada con un eluyente para remover la plata de la resina y para obtener una solución que contiene plata.
