Abstract
Un sistema y método para monitorear o detectar un nivel de proliferación de biopelícula en un sistema de fluidos y controlar los parámetros durante el funcionamiento del sistema de fluidos basándose en un nivel cuantificado de proliferación. El sistema y método de monitoreo comprende un sistema inyector del colorante para inyectar periódicamente el colorante en una porción del líquido del sistema de fluidos, y pasando la porción de líquido a través de un tubo con luz estrecha para lograr un flujo laminar y, mediante el uso de una fuente de luz sensor óptico, para detectar una transmisión o emisión que indique un nivel de proliferación de biopelícula en el tubo que corresponda con un nivel de proliferación en los componentes del sistema de fluidos. Se puede usar la información basada en las cuantificaciones o cálculos hechos por el sistema de monitoreo para alterar manual o automáticamente los diversos parámetros durante el funcionamiento para controlar así el sistema de fluidos, y auxiliar en el mantenimiento de un funcionamiento estable del sistema de fluidos dentro de las especificaciones preferidas.
