Abstract

La presente invención proporciona películas microcapilares. La película microcapilar de acuerdo con la presente invención comprende un primer extremo y un segundo extremo, en donde la película microcapilar comprende: (a) una matriz que comprende un material termoplástico, (b) por lo menos uno o más canales colocados en paralelo en tal matriz desde el primer extremo hasta el segundo extremo de la película, en donde uno o más canales son por lo menos de 1 µm separados entre sí, y en donde cada uno de uno o más canales tiene un diámetro en el intervalo de por lo menos 1 µm; y en donde la película microcapilar comprende de 10 a 90 por ciento en volumen de porosidad, basado en el volumen total de la película microcapilar, y en donde uno o más canales tiene una relación de aspecto en el intervalo de 1:1 a 100:1, y en donde la película tiene un espesor en el intervalo de 5 µm a 500 µm.
