Abstract
Un laringoscopio con succión integrada y controlable incluye un mango y una paleta. Un puerto de succión se encuentra en el extremo proximal del mango y está configurado para la conexión a una fuente de aire. El puerto de succión define una abertura en uno o más pasajes de flujo de aire definidos a través del laringoscopio, con cada extremo en uno o más puertos de entrada. En algunas modalidades, una válvula se interpone en cada pasaje de flujo de aire para regular el flujo de aire a lo largo de cada pasaje de flujo de aire. Tal válvula está conectada de forma operativa a un interruptor montado sobre una superficie exterior del laringoscopio, de modo que la manipulación del interruptor hace que la válvula se abra o se cierre, permitiendo de este modo que el doctor u otro profesional médico controle el flujo de aire y aplique de forma selectiva succión constante o intermitente.
