Abstract
Se proporciona un método para operar un vehículo de motor. El vehículo de motor comprende un motor y un dispositivo de postratamiento de gases de escape en una línea de escape del motor, el dispositivo de postratamiento de gases de escape comprende un Absorbedor Pasivo de NOx (PNA) configurado para: capturar óxidos de nitrógeno, de los gases de escape, en o por debajo de una primera temperatura y liberar óxidos de nitrógeno, en los gases de escape, en o por encima de una segunda temperatura, y oxidar hidrocarburos y/o monóxido de carbono en virtud de un catalizador. El método comprende monitorear la proporción de equivalencia aire-combustible del motor, determinar un parámetro de envejecimiento del dispositivo de postratamiento de gases de escape integrando la proporción de equivalencia aire-combustible del motor con relación al tiempo, determinar si debe regenerarse el dispositivo de postratamiento de gases de escape en base al parámetro de envejecimiento y regenerar el dispositivo de gases de escape de postratamiento.
