Abstract
Se describen métodos para la obtención de semillas clonales, los métodos de clonación de plantas, procedimientos de análisis de plantas progenitoras que producen semillas clonales asexualmente y métodos para incrementar el rendimiento de semillas clonales. Se describen además, constructos que comprenden un ácido nucleico que puede silenciar la actividad de un gen de la ruta de metilación del ADN dependiente de ARN. Se describen además, las plantas maternas que comprenden un constructo, en donde el constructo comprende una secuencia de ácido nucleico exógeno, en donde el constructo hace defectuosa la planta materna para la metilación del ADN dependiente del ARN.
