Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un proceso para eliminar el sulfuro de una solución acuosa que comprende sulfuro, en donde la solución acuosa se somete a bacterias que oxidan el sulfuro en la presencia de oxígeno en un reactor para oxidar sulfuro a azufre elemental, el proceso comprende: a) proporcionar la solución acuosa que comprende sulfuro; b) suministrar un gas que contiene oxígeno molecular al reactor que contiene las bacterias que oxidan el sulfuro en un medio acuoso, de tal manera que se crean una o más zonas aireadas y una o más zonas no aireadas en el medio acuoso con flujo de líquido hacia arriba en las zonas aireadas y flujo de líquido hacia abajo en las zonas no aireadas; o) suministrar una corriente de carga de la solución acuosa que comprende sulfuro al reactor al inyectar la corriente de carga en una o más zonas no aireadas, en donde una o más zonas aireadas no se separan de una o más zonas no aireadas por medio del reactor interno que se extiende verticalmente. La invención adicionalmente se relaciona con un proceso para eliminar el sulfuro de una solución acuosa que comprende sulfuro utilizando dicho proceso y con un reactor adecuado que se va a utilizar en dicho proceso.
