Abstract

Un método de tratamiento biológico de aguas residuales, 'en el que se utiliza un reactor biológico que comprende una zona anaeróbica (B), una zona anóxica (A) y una zona aeróbica (T), secuencialmente conectados entre sí, en donde las aguas residuales crudas son llevadas a la zona anaeróbico situada al comienzo de dicha zona de secuencia del reactor, o en parte o en su totalidad a la zona que le precede, a continuación, el agua residual se dirige a la zona anóxica (A) y, eventualmente a la zona aeróbica (T), después, en el proceso de recirculación interna, una parte del contenido de la zona aeróbica (T) se devuelve a la zona anóxica (A), y el resto de las aguas residuales desde la zona aeróbica (T) se dirige, junto con el lodo directamente o a través de zonas adicionales, a un tanque secundario de sedimentación donde el agua residual tratada se separa desde el lodo que sedimentan en la parte inferior del tanque de sedimentación secundaria, y las aguas residuales tratadas y el exceso de lodos situado sobre la parte inferior del tanque de sedimentación secundaria se descargan fuera del depósito de sedimentación secundaria, y el resto de los lodos acumulados en el tanque de sedimentación secundario pasan a la zona anaeróbica (B) directamente o a través de la zona anóxica (A) en el proceso de recirculación externa. En este método, entre la zona anóxica (A) y la zona aeróbica (T), se mantiene un medio de zona aeróbica (S) , en donde se selecciona el tiempo de residencia de las aguas residuales desde 2.0 a 8.0 horas, y la concentración de oxígeno se mantiene en el rango de 0.6 a 1.3 mg/litro de O2.
