Abstract

Un método no invasivo para medir la salud cutánea en un sujeto que comprende recolectar una muestra de células epiteliales ¡células cutáneas del sujeto; la detección de un nivel de uno o más biomarcadores de péptidos antimicrobianos en muestras de células epiteliales ¡células cutáneas; diagnosticar al sujeto como si tuviese un mecanismo de defensa debido al ataque microbiano en la piel o una medida del sistema que está en equilibrio con la homeostasis ambiental con base en el nivel de uno o más biomarcadores de péptidos antimicrobianos seleccionados del grupo que consiste en Histona H2B tipo 1-M, Histona H2A, Histona H4, Proteína S100-A7, Proteína S100- A8, Proteína S100-A9, Catepsina G, defensina de neutrófilo 3 (Defensina, alfa 3) (HNP3), Dermcidina, ribonucleasa- 7 -2 (nBDRibonucleasa. 7), beta defensina humana (-2) y Beta-defensina 103 (hBD-3) y enumerados en la Tabla 1, caracterizado porque las familias AMP incluyen proteína que incrementa la permiabilidad bactericida (BPI), Defensina, histona, toxina que forma poro, S100 proteína, Citotoxina, serma proteasa S1, Dual oxidasa, regulación de transcripción y mezclas de estos. Adicionalmente, un método no invasivo para evaluar la eficacia de productos para la salud de la piel.
