Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un método para el recubrimiento de una superficie. El método comprende la provisión de una toallita humedecida con una mezcla de constituyentes para formar una composición de recubrimiento a base de silicio que comprende un silano, un siloxano, y un solvente orgánico. La mezcla es transferida desde la toallita para formar un recubrimiento sobre una superficie. El recubrimiento es endurecido ambientalmente con o sin calor adicional. También se proporciona aquí una toallita humedecida para el recubrimiento de una superficie. La toallita comprende (a) un substrato y (b) una mezcla de constituyentes para formar una composición de recubrimiento a base de silicio que comprende silano. La mezcla está contenida dentro del substrato hasta que sea aplicada a una superficie, y, después de la aplicación, el recubrimiento de la mezcla sobre la superficie se endurece ambientalmente con o sin calor adicional.
