Abstract
Se describe una construcción óptica que incluye una fuente de luz azul claro, un panel de pantalla de cristal líquido y un elemento de película de punto cuántico ópticamente ubicado entre la fuente de luz azul y el panel LCD. En algunas modalidades, la fuente de luz azul puede emitir luz azul que tiene una longitud de onda en un intervalo de 440 a 460 nm y un FWHM menor que 25 nm. Además, en algunas modalidades, el elemento de película de punto cuántico incluye una pluralidad de puntos cuánticos que emiten una longitud de onda roja pico en un intervalo de 600 a 640 nm, un FWHM menor que 50 nm, como también una longitud de onda verde pico en un intervalo de 515 a 555 nm y un FWHM menor que 40 nm. El elemento de película de punto cuántico puede estar ópticamente ubicado entre la fuente de luz azul y el panel LCD.
