Abstract

The invention relates to an air freshener consisting of a small box formed by coupling together two bowl portions (1, 2) that can be tightly coupled with one another, having an inner block of cellulose (5) impregnated with a perfume provided therebetween. The cellulose block (5) is separated both from the bottoms of the small box and from the side walls, by means of ledges (6) provided on the bottom of both the female (1) and male (2) parts, and by means of partitions (7) provided on the male part (2) near the side walls thereof. The small box has windows (9) for taking in air and (8) for letting out the air impregnated with the perfume contained in the cellulose block (5). On the outside, the small box has conformations that define a dovetail joint (10) for securing a clip (11) which, when released from said mounting formed by the conformations (10), capable of being coupled to an outer recess in the bottom of the male part (2).

Description

AIR FRESHENER The present invention relates to an air freshener, preferably provided and fundamentally for its application in automobiles, without ruling out its use in any other room in which its use is feasible.

The air freshener materializes in a small box formed by two cups joined together, one inside the other, and between both a block of cellulose impregnated with perfume.

The object of the invention is to achieve a constructive simplicity of the air freshener and an easy application thereof in the place where it is available. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In the Spanish utility model U 200601878 a hanging box with built-in air freshener is described that is formed by two pieces, one in functions of male and another in functions of female, fitting both together, so that the male piece presents a kind of internal perimeter groove in which fits a perimeter flange corresponding to the edge of the male piece, both being perfectly coupled together and conveniently retained to prevent the opening of the box by children.

Between the two constitutive parts of the box, that is to say between the male part and the female part, is a block of cellulose impregnated with a perfume, so that through a window provided in the lower part of the plane corresponding to the male part and in the upper part of the plane corresponding to the female part, an air passage is made, which logically is impregnated with the perfume of the interior and exits by the windows of the female part, to perfume the environment.

This box has a flap to carry out the hanging of the same through an appropriate suspension element, it can be said that it is preferentially usable and mainly in motor vehicles, hanging the box of the interior rearview mirror, although with the appropriate hanger could suspend and be applicable in another cabin.

The cellulose block impregnated with the perfume must have a special configuration to allow the passage of air through the inside of the box, the perimeter edges of that cellulose block being wavy, to allow the passage of air, and it also has a longitudinal groove which affects most of its length, also to facilitate the passage of air and therefore the impregnation of said air with the perfume located inside the cellulose block, to go outside through the windows corresponding to the box.

Obviously making the cellulose block with the corrugations and the longitudinal groove, is an increase in the manufacturing process.

In addition, the box does not have the means to conveniently immobilize that block of cellulose, which is always "dancing" inside the box, or which is the same without fitting conveniently in said interior, unless the block has a high thickness corresponding to the total depth of the box.

Another feature that presents the air freshener or box object of this utility model U 200601878, is that on the external surface of both parts or cups is placed a label that can carry instructions for use, advertising, etc, and whose labels have a die-cut sector to allow the independence of that sector and leave the windows free for the entry and exit of air.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The air freshener that is recommended, based on the one referred to in the previous model, ie constituted from a box formed by two cups coupled together, with windows for air inlet and outlet, presents a series of improvements and innovations that result in a greater constructive simplicity of the cellulose block where the perfume is impregnated, of a greater immobilization of said cellulose block inside the box, and of a better application as regards the arrangement of the air freshener in certain areas or parts vehicle.

More specifically, one of the features of the invention is that projections in the vicinity of the bowl corresponding to the workpiece of the male, and in the background corresponding to the bowl in female functions, projections have been provided in proximity to the corners , which determine support means for the cellulose block impregnated with perfume, establishing a separation of said block with respect to said bottoms of the box, to enable the circulation of the air and therefore the impregnation of said air with the perfume with which the cellulose block is impregnated.

In addition to the bottom of the piece in male functions emerge, in proximity to the side walls, partitions that delimit the perimeter location space for the cellulose block, being this perfectly located in place without displacement of any kind, as it remains blocked to all sides, that is to say perimeter, by those partitions corresponding to the bottom of the male part.

Another feature of novelty presented by the air freshener of the invention is that both the workpiece of male and the workpiece of female, present on one of its sides minor complementary emergencies determining a dovetail in which on the one hand it establishes a sliding clamping element for a clamp intended to hold the air freshener assembly, for example, in the air outlet grille established in the dashboard of the corresponding vehicle, for which said clamp, at the time of use, must be released from its fitting in dovetail, and coupled, through a heel that has the base of the same, in a recess of special configuration set to the effect on the external face of the piece as a male, recessed by the interior defines a perimeter opening, and also with two sections of different amplitude, for the accommodation of the strangled heel provided in the clamp and securing the assembly of the box to that clip, and this could be fixed, as was said, on the grid of the dashboard of a car.

For its part, the label corresponding to the covering of the external surface of the commented male part, has a die-cutting area through which the air inlet windows will be released, which extends in a sector that also hides the die-cut previously. commented, so that detaching that punched area, on the one hand the air inlet windows are released and on the other hand the punching is released to allow the assembly and fixing of the clamp on the box.

Based on the aforementioned characteristics, the air freshener is more practical, both as regards the way of making the cellulose block, and as regards the application or disposition of the constituent box of the invention in any place, since the box of the utility model cited as background does not allow its application on the grille of the dashboard of a car, so that by means of the air freshener of the invention it can be applied on the aforementioned grille of the dashboard and accelerate the perfuming intensity, since that is subjected to the flow of the outgoing air by that grid of the dashboard. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, it is attached to this descriptive memory, as an integral part of it, a figure in which, with an illustrative and non-limiting character, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a representation corresponding to an exploding perspective of the three parts that participate in the constitution of the air freshener object of the invention, and whose parts correspond to the two cups engageable with each other and the perfumed cellulose block.

Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the air freshener of the invention including the gripper clamp thereof, and whose view corresponds to the external face of the female part.

Figure 3 shows another perspective view, in this case by the external face of the male part, corresponding to the air freshener shown in Figure 2, but without the clip.

Figure 4 shows a perspective view like that of Figure 2, with the label stamped closing the exit windows.

Figure 5 shows another view similar to that of Figure 3, with the label closing the windows and the die for the assembly of the clamp of the air freshener.

Figures 6 and 7 show respective views in longitudinal and transverse section, respectively, of the air freshener object of the invention. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION As can be seen in the figures referred to, the air freshener of the invention is It consists of two pieces in the form of cups (1, 2) engageable together by plug, the part (1) acting as a female part and acting the part (2) as a male part, that is to say it is densely housed inside the the previous one.

The female part (1) has a perimeter and in correspondence with its bottom, a narrow channel (3) for locating and coupling a perimeter flange (4) corresponding to the male part (2), in order that both parts (1, 2) are perfectly coupled with each other without the possibility of separating unless it is performed, once coupled, manipulations impossible to perform by a child.

The box formed by these pieces (1, 2) houses inside it a block of cellulose (5) impregnated with a perfume, so that cellulose block (5) is separated from the bottoms corresponding to the pieces (1,2). ) as a consequence of the fact that said bottoms are affected with projections (6) in proximity to the vertices, so that this cellulose block (5) when resting between the projections (6) of both pieces (1,2), is separated from the funds to allow the passage of air.

In addition, this cellulose block (5) is separated from the side walls as a result of the fact that the male part (2) has in proximity to its side walls and from the same bottom, with partitions (7) that delimit precisely the outline of the cellulose block (5), being this perfectly adjusted between those partitions (7), immobilized between them and the projections (6) of the funds corresponding to the pieces (1, 2).

The female part (1) has at its bottom windows (8) for air outlet, while the male part (2) also has windows in its bottom (9), but located in contrast to the windows (8), that is to say in the lower part, in order that the air penetrates through the lower windows (9) of the male part (2), runs through the interior of the box and exit through the upper windows (8) of the female part (1), and thus impregnate the environment of the perfume that has been drawing the circulating air inside the box.

Both pieces (1,2) have at one end with some conformations (10), to which are attached one of the lateral branches of a clamp (11) that has teeth (12) in both branches for fixing or fastening on, for example, the air outlet grille of a dashboard automobile, and whose clip (11) has at its base a heel (13) emerging from a strangulation (14) as part between the heel (13) and the base of said clip (11).

Before its application, the air freshener will have the clamp (11) referred to retained in the support that constitutes the dovetail formed by the two complementary parts (10) of the female parts (1) and male (2), whereas when to be used, the clamp (11) will be released from that support and will be disposed, through its heel (13), in an external recess (15) of the bottom of the male part (2), and whose recess is open towards the inside and also formed by two sections, one to accommodate and allow the sliding of the heel (13) of the clamp (11), and the other to retain that heel (13) through the strangulated section (14) that is housed in the narrowest section of that recess (15).

Also say that the male part (2) has in its base or bottom and perimetrally, a flange (16) that establishes the penetration limit in its coupling on the female part (1).

Claims

1. - Air freshener, constituted by a box formed by the coupling fitted together of two pieces in the form of cups (1, 2), the first in functions of female and the second in functions of male, housing inside a cellulose block ( 5) impregnated with a perfume that diffuses to the outside through the impregnation of the air that penetrates through windows (9) established in the lower part of the bottom of the male part (2), leaving through windows (8) provided in the bottom of the upper part of the female part (1), said parts (1, 2) counting with coupling and retention means (3, 4) to keep the box intact and inside it the cellulose block (5) impregnated of perfume, characterized in that both the bottom of the female part (1) and the bottom of the male part (2) have, in proximity to the corners, internal projections (6) for supporting the cellulose block (5), being this one separated of both funds of the box formed by those pieces female (1) and male (2); it being further provided that from the bottom of the male part (2) emerge in proximity and parallel to the walls, partitions (7) that define a location and immobilization space for the cellulose block (5), allowing, in combination with the projections (6) of the bottoms, the free circulation of air inside the box and corresponding impregnation of the perfume impregnated in the cellulose block (5); it being further provided that one of the smaller sides of the male (2) and female (1) parts externally have opposing conformations (10) that establish a support dovetail for a clamp (11) capable of being coupled in a recess (15) provided in the bottom and externally of the male part (2).

2. - Air freshener, according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamp (11) is determined by two branches converging with each other and between them toothed (12) for holding, presenting at its base a heel (13) with a choke (14) as separating means of said heel (13) with respect to the base of the clamp (11), to mount said clamp, through the heel (13), in the recess (15) established on the external part of the base of the male piece (2).

3. - Air freshener, according to previous claims, characterized in that the recess (15) of the bottom of the male part (2) has two sections with different width, for the introduction of the heel (13) of the clamp (11), the sliding of this and corresponding clamping thereof on the narrowest section of said external recess (15).

4. - Air freshener, according to previous claims, characterized in that on the external surface corresponding to the bottom of the male parts (2) and female part (1), there are provided shutter labels for the windows (8, 9) provided in said female part (1) and male part (2), with the particularity that these labels have a punch to release the sealing parts of the corresponding windows (8, 9), die-cut that extends through the label located on the external surface of the bottom of the male part (2) in an appropriate amplitude to cover and seal the external recess (15) for mounting the clamp (11).
